Dan Skinner

Managing Director

Dan Skinner, Managing Director of Spearpoint Solutions & Technology, was born on Thursday Island and grew up in Cairns and Brisbane. He left school at 15, worked in Western Queensland, and joined the Army at 17, serving as a rifleman and NCO before graduating from the Royal Military College in 1989. He later deployed to East Timor as an Operations Officer and was medically discharged in 2000. After military service, Dan worked as a Defence contractor and Technical Editor at RPDE before founding Spearpoint in 2006. He has been married to Janelle for 31 years and has two sons. Dan lives in Newcastle, NSW, and enjoys restoring classic cars, 3D printing, and building military models.

Mathew Brummell

Chief Operating Officer

Matthew was born in Sydney and is married with five children. He served 20 years in the Australian Army, including multiple domestic and overseas deployments, developing strong leadership and operational expertise. After leaving the Army, he held senior roles across Defence, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence. He is now the Chief Operating Officer at Spearpoint Solutions & Technology, a veteran-owned company supporting Defence and government agencies with advanced capability solutions. Matthew’s background spans program management, organisational leadership, and innovation in complex environments. He holds advanced qualifications in leadership, government, and security risk management, and continues to contribute to community initiatives and veteran advocacy.

Craig Freene

Head of Business Development

Craig grew up in Korumburra, Victoria, and graduated from RMC Duntroon into the Royal Australian Corps of Signals in 1993. His Army career included multiple postings and a key role supporting US Marines on a major satellite communications project. After leaving the Army, he ran the Lonely Planet–listed bar and restaurant Follarchies, then spent over 14 years with ASIO in operational, training, and analytical roles. He later worked in cyber security with PCG Cyber and Thales/Tesserent before joining Spearpoint Solutions & Technology in 2025 as Head of Business Development. Craig lives in Canberra with his family, supports Carlton FC, and enjoys travelling, including completing the Inca Trail.

Chris Joseph

Chief Finance Officer

Chris Joseph is a seasoned finance executive with experience across defence, technology, energy, health, community services, and retail. He is the Chief Financial Officer at Spearpoint Solutions and Technology, where he leads financial strategy, governance, and operational performance, with a strong focus on digital transformation and enterprise-wide financial modelling. Previously, Chris worked as a Financial Analyst at Jemena/Zinfra, supporting budgeting, forecasting, regulatory reporting, and financial modelling across a $12.4B energy infrastructure portfolio. He has also held finance roles in the NDIS and health sectors, as well as earlier roles in retail finance and security operations.

Kris Milne

Sales Manager

Kris joined the military in 2003, serving in the Infantry with 2RAR and 8/9RAR before concluding his service in 2016 as an instructor at the Royal Military College Duntroon. He deployed to East Timor three times and completed a range of specialist courses throughout his career. After transitioning from Defence, Kris worked across Sales, Recruitment, Human Resources, and Professional Services, while also contributing to several veteran advocacy initiatives. He now serves as our Sales Manager for Defence and Law Enforcement.

Jessie Skinner

Marketing Manager

Jessie brings extensive experience in sales and marketing, paired with a genuine passion for business development and relationship building. Her creative vision and commitment to excellence will help amplify Spearpoint's innovative, veteran-owned capabilities to a broader audience. We're excited to see her energy, expertise, and leadership make a lasting impact on our team and across the wider industry community.

Thomas Cunningham

Operations and Supply Chain Operator

Thomas Cunningham is an Operations & Supply Chain Operator from Queanbeyan. He brings skills in procurement, shipment handling, delivery coordination, customer service, and problem-solving, supported by strong technical ability and a drive to learn. Previously, Thomas worked as a Coles Online Shift Runner, managing a team of 30+ staff and overseeing more than 12,000 items daily, including delivery logistics and maintaining a 97% fulfilment rate. He also gained valuable communication and decision-making skills as a football referee. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys football, gaming, video creation, sports, and music.

Meagan Hungerford

Technical Program Manager

Meagan Hungerford serves as the Chief Security Officer and provides support as a Technical Program Manager within Spearpoint. She brings two decades of experience in design, manufacturing, engineering and capability management, with a strong focus on delivering solutions. Her background combines technical expertise with commercial oversight, enabling her to bridge the gap between engineering teams and organisational objectives. By bridging gaps between engineering, operations, and leadership, Meagan drives outcomes that strengthen resilience and deliver capability.
